World Music Day (21st June 2019) is a connected set of free public events which takes place annually on the 21st June, our midsummer. Every year, the events took place in over 120 countries and 700 cities all over the world. The event is also known as FÃªte de la Musique (www.fetedelamusique.culture.fr) (or MAKE MUSIC DAY) and originated in France in 1982. Since then, the idea has spread across the globe with each event holding the same simple set of principles as World Music Day - the day is held on the mid-summer solstice, and that all concerts and events are free and accessible to the public. Here in Manipur, We, the groups of artists and musician friends, have been organizing the celebration of 'World Music Day' every year in Imphal by crowd funding. This Year, the World Music Day will be celebrated at YAC ground, Yaiskul, Imphal with bands like Adama and Sangtei Renza from Mizoram, Penta Fusion, Fringes, Shaini, Kaicho, Illegals, Dipwarani, Emvryonix, The Wishes, Red Devils, Pulse Pundit and Battles. The local instruments including Pena, Flute, Langdeng will be displayed for sales at the venue. Also, music lovers will get the opportunity to meet and interact with the local folk music instruments' manufacturers. The entry to the event will be free for everyone, giving an opportunity to celebrate the event together. NE Brothers Entertainments Pvt Ltd is organizing this event. Manipur Start-Up Conclave 2019 was held at City Convention Centre, Imphal on 20th September, 2019. Out of the total 3966 applicants, 798 were shortlisted; 98 Start-Ups under Revenue stage, 579 Start-Ups under Idea stage and 177 under Entrepreneurs Support Scheme (ESS) were selected to provide loans under the scheme. During the programme, brief presentations of six selected successful Start-ups were showcased. The Chief Minister and other dignitaries distributed the grants and sanction letter to be borne by the State Government to the selected Start-Ups and Entrepreneur under the scheme. Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar Singh, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, HODs of various departments, officials of different departments and others attended the function. Manipur Startup Conclave 2018 was held at City Convention Centre, Imphal on 8th August 2018. It was Manipur's first ever StartUp Conclave. On this historical day, Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh rolled out an ambitious program 'Start-Up Policy'. The main objective of the Manipur Start-Up scheme is to unleash the potential, talents and entrepreneurship skills of the State. The scheme is proposed to be implemented with a financial assistance of Rs 150 crores in the next five years starting from 2017. Out of the total 334 Start-up/beneficiaries, 29 start-ups were selected under Revenue Stage Start-Up, 200 in beneficiaries in Idea Stage and 105 beneficiaries in Entrepreneur Support Scheme category. The 105th Indian Science Congress was held from March 16-March 20, 2018 at Manipur University. This annual event was organised in Manipur for the first time. The focal theme for 2018 Science Congress was 'Reaching the Unreached through Science and Technology'. Supported by the government of Manipur, the NE Brothers Entertainments Private Limited helped put up the Manipur Pavilion at the event.
Lik-Li-Gi Lai - A musical evening with legendary singer Sanaton & felicitation of lyricists. Held at Candrakirti Auditorium, the event saw singer Sanaton enthralling the audience with his popular songs. Spectacular performance from Laihui, Pentafusion, and The Koi added to the charm of the evening.
Long before the NE Brothers Entertainments Private Limited was established, a pure passion for Manipuri films and arts led to aggressive promotion of one of the best films of Manipur, Phijeegi Mani. This National Award winning film was extensively promoted and screened in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Shillong, andÂ Singapore. Seeing the positive response and success of this very small initiative, the NE Brothers Entertainment Private Limited was launched with the vision of promoting North Eastern films, arts, literatures, cultures and music. As a full-fledged event management company, it organised its first event in 2013 - a North-East India musical tour of the renowned singer Jayanta popularly known as Tapta at several locations of North East. Titled Chahi Taret Khuntakpa with the theme Reaching the Brotherhood once lost, the event was a huge success. The tour gave fans of Tapta to get up, close and personal with him. Since then, thereâ€™s no looking back.
The NE Brothers Entertainment Private Limited conceptualised and organised several events including Likli-Gi-Lai, a musical evening with the legendary singer Sanaton, and 3rd Xenoh Corporate Football Challenge 2017.
The NE Brothers Entertainment Private Limited, for the first time in the history of Manipur, organised an art camp of international level in collaboration with associate partners, and sponsored by the Manipur Tourism Department, Government of Manipur. The 1st International Art Camp, held in June, 2017 at Slopeland Public School, Khongjom in Thoubal District, invited several renowned artists from Manipur, and other parts of India and Korea. The aim of the camp was to promote Manipur as an art hub and also as an artistâ€™s destination.
The grand success of the 1st International Art Camp paved way for the 2nd International Imphal Art Camp, which took place in November 2017 during the Sangai Festival at the historical Kangla Fort. The main objective of the art camp is to promote tourism of Manipur through art. It was executed on a larger scale with participation of artists from Korea, Russia, Turkey and Haiti, besides the popular artists from Manipur and other states of India.
Apart from the personalised and corporate events, the NE Brothers Entertainment Private Limited, with the support of state government, has also organised national level programs including Digi Dhan Mela 2017, and also put up the Manipur Pavilion at the 105th India Science Congress 2018 held at Manipur University.
